Care packages. They’re what get us through summer camp as kids, exams in college, and now, through the early parenting days/daze, thanks to Citrus Lane. Here’s why this online care package delivery site is our current “new fave:”

WHY WE’RE IN LOVE:

As a gift to celebrate the arrival of our fourth and final child, my husband’s brother and his wife gifted us a three-month subscription to Citrus Lane. They sent us a congrats card giving us a heads up that we can expect the first shipment any time. A Citrus Lane newbie, I was expecting a shipment of grapefruits and oranges. To validate or disclaim my notion, I Googled “Citrus Lane,” and what to my bloodshot, over-tired eyes did appear? A fabulous site chock-full of so many pretty, bright and exciting items. And what’s more? A box of those items was headed our way … times three!

Not long after we got the card from my brother- and sister-in-law, our first Citrus Lane shipment arrived. And truly, it was like Christmas morning in our home. Unsure of what was packed inside, we carefully opened the box, and it was a treasure trove of new baby goodies!! And the wow-factor doesn’t stop there …

These items weren’t just no-name, brand-less, useless “stuff” to take up space in the nursery. These items were both useful and fun, and they hailed from such popular brands as Boon, Chronicle Books and Under the Nile to name a few. Included were the following:

All of these fantastic items were in our December Citrus Lane shipment! Clockwise from left, they are: Boon "Hitch" paci or toy holder, Under the Nile Scrappy Elephant (we received one), Little Hoot (Chronicle Books) and a mold to make a keepsake Christmas ornament of our new baby's hand or foot.

And that’s just for the December box! Every month is something different. And while our daughter may be none-the-wiser to this fabulous gift, her father and I are enjoying it to the hilt!
